ADR European Road Regulations

This function specific course is
entitled ADR European Road Regulations and is designed for those
requiring knowledge of the regulations for the transportation of dangerous
goods by road throughout Europe. The training will cover the most fundamental
and important aspects of the European regulations, including exemption and
limited quantities, multilateral agreements, classification, use of Table A
& B in Part 3, packing instructions, mixed packing, marking and labeling,
and documentation.
Each person participating in
the course may bring their copy of ADR 2007 Volume I & II or purchase a
copy at a specially discounted price.

Understanding the Exceptions Limited

This revised course explores the
regulatory relief available in our Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods
Transportation Regulations. The course includes all 2006 changes as well as a
preview upcoming changes. The advantages of the exceptions are discussed and
illustrated. Real world examples and experience are used. Materials and
discussion will cover cost savings, packaging, testing, labeling, marking,
shipping papers, materials of trade and more. Differences between the modes
will be explained. Consumer Commodity myths will be dispelled. An illustrated
student workbook, applicable interpretation letters and other reference
materials are included in course materials.

Issues and Best Practices

A comprehensive overview of the
issues that face automotive companies, their suppliers and transportation
partners, focusing on recent regulatory changes, parts distribution and supply
chain management, warranty programs, auto parts recycling, and dealer training
programs as well as hazardous waste transportation requirements. Participants
will learn about best management practices implemented by many of the
worlds leading auto makers and have an opportunity to share ideas for
optimizing their own hazardous materials compliance and training programs.
Although, emphasis is placed on automotive hazardous materials classification,
hazard communication, documentation, storage and transportation, the programs
& methods discussed in this interactive presentation can be used by any
company that manufactures or ships dangerous goods. Courses
are function specific with training company certificates issued.

Hazmat Security Assessments and Plans

This seminar will focus on
hazardous materials security assessments and effective security corrective
actions. The course will cover regulations concerning self-assessment,
inclusion as part of a comprehensive security plan, DOT expectations of
completed security plans and security risk assessments. Participants will
learn about best risk management practices implemented by companies that
manufactures and/or ships hazardous materials.

C-TPAT and The Hazardous Materials Importer/Shipper

C-TPAT is a voluntary government
business initiative to build cooperative relationships that strengthen and
improve the overall international supply chain and U.S. border security. C-TPAT
recognizes that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) can provide the
highest level of cargo security only through close cooperation with the
ultimate owners of the international supply chain such as importers, carriers,
consolidators, licensed customs brokers, and manufacturers. C-TPAT offers
trade related businesses an opportunity to play an active role in the war
against terrorism. By participating in this first worldwide supply chain
security initiative, companies will ensure a more secure and expeditious
supply chain for their employees, suppliers and customers.
Companies who import hazardous
materials have always had a higher concern for security. C-TPAT participation
is an excellent way to improve their level of security and partner with U.S.
Customs and Border Protection to insure a fully integrated and compliant
security system from origin to destination.
