Course Description: This course provides in-depth and up-to-date information on how to ship lithium batteries by all modes using US domestic and international regulations including: 49 CFR, ICAO/IATA, and IMDG Code. The course will cover lithium battery test summary requirements, classification, packing, marking/labeling, documentation, and related exceptions as well as used, damaged, or defective batteries. This session will also include an update on upcoming developments related to lithium batteries at the UN level, followed by a Q&A session. Upon successful completion of the course and after passing an exam, students will receive a training certificate. Prerequisite: General & Security Awareness Training, Previous experience with shipment of lithium batteries Course Materials: A comprehensive compliance reference and handouts will be provided by the instructor. |

Course Description: This function-specific training will focus on the key requirements for shipping aerosols in accordance with domestic (49 CFR) and international air and vessel (IATA DGR and IMDG Code requirements, including but not limited to 49 CFR 173.306, IATA DGR PI Y203 and PI Y963 and IMDG Code 3.4. Participants will learn how to navigate applicable regulations to successfully classify aerosols, specify packaging and apply applicable package communications (i.e., marks and labels). This session will also briefly address some other relief available for compressed gases as well as basic classification principles to strengthen overall compliance. Upon successful completion of the course and after passing an exam, students will receive a training certificate. Course Materials: A comprehensive compliance reference. |

Course Description: This course provides students with a refresher in the knowledge to read and apply the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, as well as how to comply with new requirements in the Edition 67. It will cover terms and definitions, proper shipping names, hazard classes, identification numbers, packing groups, state and operator variations, packaging, labeling, marking, and certification of shipping documents. Upon successful completion of the course and after passing an exam, students will receive a training certificate. Prerequisite: 49 CFR Initial Training (including General Awareness, Function-Specific, Safety & Security Transportation Compliance) Course Materials: A comprehensive compliance reference and handouts will be provided by the instructor. Workshop Description: This interactive, hands-on workshop is designed to help participants build and maintain an effective Dangerous Goods (DG) training program. Attendees will learn how to identify training needs based on transport modes, special permits, and applicable regulations. The session covers how to determine which employees require training - including hidden hazmat employees, not just supervisors - and explores common training challenges, strategies to engage learners, and best practices for delivery. What should be included in training records in order to be compliant with regulatory requirements. Learn how to support your internal program development and sustainability. 10 Practical Tips for Trainers:
This is an interactive workshop and not a regulatory training course, therefore a certificate will not be issued. Workshop Materials: Handouts will be provided electronically by the instructor prior to the workshop. Students will be required to have access to the IATA DGR Edition 67 regulations. Designed to meet the regulatory training standards set out in 49 CFR §172.704, this course fulfills the minimum training requirements for hazmat employees engaged in offering hazardous materials for highway transportation. Course Description: This Recurrent Training course will cover the major changes and revisions of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code, Amendment 42-24. This course is designed for shippers, freight forwarders, third-party logistics entities, carriers, and other hazardous materials / dangerous goods professionals preparing DG shipments for transport by sea.
Function-specific topics include enforcement, classification, use of the IMDG Code’s List of Dangerous Goods, packaging of dangerous goods, loading of cargo transport units, marking, labeling, placarding, documentation, stowage, and segregation. Upon successful completion of the course and after passing an exam, students will receive a training certificate. Prerequisite: 49 CFR Training (General Awareness, Function Specific, Safety, Security Awareness and In-Depth Security); Initial IMDG Code Training Course Materials: A comprehensive compliance reference and handouts will be provided by the instructor.
